The Digium IAXY ( S101I), takes Asterisk from the PC to the CPE. The Digium IAXy(S101I) with Astrisk protoco provides a single, fully featured FXS interface with an Ethernet back-end. The Digium IAXy (S101I) is aimed at Voice Over Broadband and Internet Telephone Service Providers.

The Digium IAXY (S101I) protocol offers complete NAT transparency, enabling full operation behind PAT and NAT firewalls. The Digium IAXy (S101I) is able to quickly transfer calls between endpoints. The Digium IAXY (S101I) moves on-net calls off of a service provider's network for better quality and lower cost.
