Whelp, first let me explain the objective. I am looking to obtain a minimum of 10 local numbers that can be forwarded anywhere in the United States without any long distance fees.
Ok, I have several computers and have been reading about IP, PBX... and if neccessary am willing to get a T1 connection. I run a messaging website for inmates. What I would like to do is give each one a plan they can subscribe to where they pay us for a local number and we through our "PBX" can configure it to forward to a longdistance number of their choosing the goal is to avoid long distance fees. My question is? Is this doable? What would need to be done? Can I get unlimited long distance? What is the cheapest price I can get unlimited long distance for (monthly)? Basically, I can do the research if someone can point me in the right direction Tell me what would be required... the terminology used like "trunking"... again completely new to this world.Thank You |

Night Train,
Sure this is definitely do-able. I'm not really sure how other voip services do it but with our VoIP Service you get unlimited calling to both US and Cananda with no long distance charges at all. Checkout our Business VoIP Service page. Each account comes with 1 DID (telephone number) in any area code you like. Now since their are no long distance charges in US and Canada you really do not even need to worry about forwarding, etc. The cheapest plan is $34.95 a month for unlimited VoIP Service to both US & Canada. This includes 1 DID, Unlimited inbound minutes, unlimited outbound minutes and disaster recovery routing (in case of a WAN outage). Does this answer your question? If not let me know what else your curious about! Thanks! |

NightTraindb:
Yes, what you ask is easily do-able with VoIP origination and termination services like CallCentric, InPhonex, Les.net, or Voip.ms. These are all BYOD, pay-as-you-go services with no commitments. Purchase as many DID numbers as you like and forward them to any world-wide destination of your choice. For various reasons, CallCentric is my preferred VoIP service of choice. Their service features are highly customizable and ala carte'. Pay-per-minute in-bound/outbound, or Unlimited inbound, Unlimited outbound, or both. Their web-based user admin control panel very user friendly to use. CallCentric also provides Calling Card gateway access to your VoIP account. What this means is that you can call any of their USA/Canada (or International) gateway numbers and make your VoIP calls from a regular phone or cell, for the same rates as VoIP. How to create Calling Card access is explained at www.cqvoip.com |
