Rhino R2T1 Configurtations
This is the most common setup among soft PBX users. T1 is the most common inbound trunk, however some users have E1, or PRI instead. The soft PBX provides T1 signaling to the CB24-FXS over a crossover T1 cable. The CB24-FXS provides ringing and battery voltage for the analog extensions.
This setup has been growing in popularity among home office and small business users. SIP phones will be connected to your Soft PBX via IP, and the Soft PBX will be connected to your CB24-FXO via a crossover T1 cable. POTS lines will come from the PST into your building where they are accepted by the CB24-FXO.
This is another popular setup style for medium size businesses. The CB24-MOD in this setup will contain both FXO and FXS channels. The FXO channels will accept the incoming POTS lines and the FXS channels drive battery and ringing voltages to the analog extensions. The soft PBX handles all of the channel bridging between the FXO and FXS channels.
